Realmseekers, the verdict is in!

Elora: Tales of the Realm has been fully funded on Gamefound!

Not only have we been fully funded, but we actually received 600% of our initial funding goal. We hit our funding goal within TWO MINUTES! Insane! To all of those who supported us, I cannot say thank you enough. It has been a dream come true bringing this game to you, and the support we’ve received has been so overwhelmingly positive.

Those Realmseekers who have followed us on Gamefound from the beginning and backed the campaign will be receiving a special crowdfunding-exclusive card. I’m excited to show off that card here in all its glory, with final art and a special gold border:

What’s Next?

Our next step game production-wise is to reach out to all of the different printing companies we’ve networked with to find the best fit for bringing the game to paper in full production. We already have a few good options, but we want to make sure the cards are of the best quality possible before they arrive at your doorstep.

In the meantime, we’re continuing to shore up the last of the artwork necessary. Everything is paid for and in-progress, so I’m hopeful we’ll have that all finished up before the end of the summer. Here’s a few more that have just been finished by a handful of our incredible artists:

One More Thing…

We have been in talks with a potential partner company, and have recently reached an agreement to move in to a new office alongside them! This is a very big step for us, and hopefully with their support we’ll be able to continue our work on Elora long into the future. They’re super stoked on the game and everything we’re doing, and are very excited to be a part of it. Details about that very soon (including office pictures!)

Overall, this has been one of the most exciting times of my life. I am so thankful for everyone who has supported Elora, either financially or with their expertise, or even those who just stopped by to play it! You are all truly amazing, and I’m amped to keep bringing this game to you.

Realmseekers, today is the day!

Funding begins TODAY at 5:00 PM EST!

This is your last chance to follow the project on Gamefound if you haven’t! If you follow us on Gamefound before the campaign starts, you’ll get a free exclusive card added on to your order! This card can only be gotten this way, so make sure you’ve followed us; there’s only a few hours left!

The funding window will last until July 24th, and after that we’ll begin posting updates as we get closer to fulfillment. The faster we get funded, the more the algorithm will recommend us to others, and the more the game will grow! Please share the game with everyone you know so we can all play together!

I also wanted to take this opportunity to share something I know we’ve all been anticipating—pictures of the latest prototypes!

It’s really exciting to see them like this, isn’t it? You’ll hopefully get to see more pictures in the coming days. We may tinker a bit more with these box designs before they end up in your hands, but man they look good, don’t they?

I really appreciate everyone who’s supported us up to this point. I’ll admit, I’m pretty anxious about the Gamefound campaign starting up, but I’m also very excited! It’s a really big milestone, and I can’t wait for you guys to play the game.

Realmseekers, the day is almost here!

Tomorrow is June 5th, which means that the funding for our very first set will be OPEN!

If you haven’t yet, go follow the project on Gamefound now! If you follow us on Gamefound before the campaign starts, you’ll get a free exclusive card added on to your order! This card can only be gotten this way, so make sure you’ve followed us!

I am so incredibly excited. We’re that much closer to having the cards in your hands! Hopefully launching alongside the campaign will be a new trailer, that will talk a little bit more about the creation of the game and our hopes for it. Keep an eye out for that soon.

New artwork continues to be uploaded to the website almost every day! We’re very quickly getting through all the cards that are missing. Actually, I have some exciting news in that regard: We recently signed the legendary trio of Jesper Myfors, Spoops, and Speeps! Their work so far has been simply incredible, and I’m so excited to have them on board. Check out some of my favorites of theirs:

It’s been quite a while since our last update! We’ve been hard at work finalizing the game, acquiring the last pieces of artwork we needed, and working to get our Gamefound campaign published. I’m reaching out because I have some exciting news:

Our crowdfunding launch date is June 5th, 2026!

Please, spread the word! The best thing you can do to help the game get traction is to follow the project on Gamefound before the campaign starts—you’ll even get a card just for doing so!

We’re also excited to announce that we’ve partnered with GeekEMedia to produce video content to showcase the game and grow awareness of Elora! You can check out some of that content on our Instagram and YouTube channel right now.

As for what else we’ve been working on, we’ve made major improvements to our website (especially the deckbuilder!) to ensure that things keep running smoothly as we rely more and more on the site. And of course, we’ve gotten plenty more amazing pieces of artwork from some very talented artists! Here’s just a few of them:

It’s been just about two years now since we began development on Elora, and I cannot be more excited to see just how far we’ve come already. Hello again, Realmseekers!

We had an incredible time this year at Retro World Expo 2025! It was such a joy getting to bring Elora: Tales of the Realm to the show floor and share the game with so many curious adventurers, gamers, card-slingers, and tabletop fans.

Every event reminds us how lucky we are to be building this game alongside such a friendly and enthusiastic community, and Retro World Expo was no exception. From first-time players learning their very first turn to folks coming back for another demo, we loved seeing so many people step into the realm and experience what we’ve been working on.

It was also a great networking opportunity for us, and we met some new friends who will be crucial to our success in the coming days!

A huge thank-you to everyone who stopped by the booth, tried out the game, asked questions, gave feedback, and helped spread the word. And to everyone who picked up the game—thank you so much for your support! It means the world to us, and every bit of encouragement keeps us pushing forward.

We’re leaving Retro World Expo feeling more energized than ever. There is still plenty of work ahead, but 2026 is shaping up to be a huge year for Elora, and we cannot wait to share what’s coming next.

Join us for a magical evening of spell-slinging, minion-summoning, and clever combos! Whether you’re brand new or just want a guided introduction, we’ll be there to teach the game, answer questions, and help you dive right into the action.

Starter decks will be available for purchase on-site, so all you need to bring is your curiosity (and perhaps a wizardly friend or two).

Expect a relaxed, welcoming vibe, plenty of time to play and learn, and maybe even a sneak peek at some new art or upcoming cards...

While June may have seemed quiet on the surface, behind the veil, arcane energies have been crackling with purpose. As the tides of development shift, we've turned our focus inward—crafting the world, summoning art from the aether, and conjuring up what the future of the game will feel like in your hands.

Most notably, we’ve begun commissioning artwork for even more of our cards, and early prototypes of booster packs and Fat Packs are starting to take form. Behold—mystical relics from the future of Elora!

Booster Packs

Ideally, booster packs will include 18 fully randomized cards, with a high chance of multiple rares and iconic cards per pack. Expected price: $7–9.

Fat Pack Preview

The Fat Pack is our treasure trove—containing 10 booster packs, a class token, and a magical spindown die for your Magic or Life—all bundled for $60–70.

We're also thrilled to share a glimpse at a few completed cards from our recent art commissions. These are just the beginning of what we hope will be a visually stunning and thematically rich game!

Ahoy, Corsairs!

May has been a whirlwind month full of momentum, milestones, and new mates aboard the ship!

We set sail for Under the Dice Fest 2025 in Enfield, CT, where we demoed the game to an amazing crowd of curious adventurers and card connoisseurs. We even sold out of every pre-alpha deck we brought—thank you all for the enthusiasm and support!

Joining our crew this month is Steve, who’s officially taking the helm as our new Corsair Captain of Playtesting! He’s already helping us chart the next phase of gameplay development—more on that below.

We’re also thrilled to announce an upcoming learn & play event in the near future in partnership with Pack Rat Gaming in East Windsor, CT. Keep an eye out—we’re hoping this turns into a recurring series!

On the development front, we’re deep in testing tweaks for the Bard class. Expect cost reductions, added keywords, healthier minions, and some shiny new tools to help Bard shine in the early game. Still in testing—but if you're interested in playtesting please reach out, we want to hear from you!

We're also hard at work building our roadmap to crowdfunding, and running the numbers on what it would take to deliver booster packs as part of the Alpha Kickstarter. More on that soon!

Lastly, we’d love your help spreading the word! If you’re part of a store, club, or playgroup that might love the game, send them our way or connect us! We’re more than happy to get cards into eager hands.

This past month was an exciting one for us! We attended CTGamerCon ‘25 and met many new people who share our passion for card-slinging and strategic spellcasting. The feedback we received was incredible, and we’re already brewing up changes and improvements thanks to your insights.

We also ran a raffle during the event—and it was a hit! If you entered, make sure to check your email (and spam folder, just in case) to see if you won. A few winners still haven’t responded, and we’d hate for you to miss out on your prize!

And this weekend on Saturday, April 12th, we’re hosting our first-ever public tournament at Second Floor Games in Enfield, CT, at 1 PM!
